Alyssa has 7 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in intensive in-home services and group therapy setting; which she provided crisis intervention, individual, parent/guardian, and family sessions for high risk clients. She graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s of social work from Southern Connecticut State University. Alyssa utilizes a strength-based approach and focuses on meeting the individual needs of clients through building a strong therapeutic relationship, providing a safe space, creativity, and empathy. She has experience with working with diverse populations and incorporating a variety of approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients to develop and practice tools to use in their day to day life and reach their treatment goals.
