Montoyia Key is dedicated to offering support to clients while fostering empowerment, healing, and growth in a non-judgmental setting. Her approach is collaborative, aiming to produce the most effective outcomes tailored to each client’s needs. She has experience working with families, children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, and possesses extensive expertise in working with at-risk youth ages 5 and up as a Registered Play Therapist.

Her background includes supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, suicidal ideation, and self-harming behaviors. Montoyia also has experience addressing a variety of mental health disorders, including ADHD, PTSD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Behavioral Issues, and Self-Esteem concerns. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas, she has worked extensively with clients experiencing acute mental health traumas and holds certification in EMDR.

Her degree in Community Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, has deepened her understanding of the developmental and circumstantial challenges faced by individuals across different ages, systems, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Committed to lifelong learning, Montoyia is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
